Oral History workshop led by Professor Geoffrey Swain with Marija Nemčenko at the University of Glasgow. Prof. Swain gave an introduction to the practice of Oral History and its importance in recording histories of minority groups. Using various case studies he discussed some important ways of working and gave advice to the group on how best to conduct their own interviews and oral history projects. Marija gave a presentation of her ongoing research into the Lithuanian diaspora in Scotland followed by a discussion. This was the first workshop in the series.
